Blood drive June 18

The victim of an automobile accident typically uses from four to 40 pints of blood.

A child with leukemia will need transfusions every few days while undergoing treatment.

It takes up to 60 pints of blood, platelets and plasma to help a liver transplant recipient survive surgery.

A blood drive will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 18 at Sweet Home High School.

St. Francis Episcopal and SHHS are sponsoring the drive.

For information, persons may contact Nancy Slauson at 367-8818.
