Bonnie Jean Gregory, 79, of Sweet Home passed away Sept. 14, 2022.
Bonnie was born May 5, 1943, in Rhinelander, Wis., to Grace Mary Brigman.
Bonnie was a confirmed Catholic as a child.
Bonnie has lived several places in her life: Alaska, Washington, Enterprise and Sweet Home in Oregon, and Arizona before returning to Sweet Home with her then-husband Dirrell Harper and three children, Dennis, Dirrell and Shalene. Sweet Home is where the family settled and grew up.
Later in life Bonnie fell in love with Ken Gregory. They married in 1993 and continued to build their lives in Sweet Home, alongside their family and friends.
Bonnie worked at the iconic Spring Restaurant before beginning work at First National Bank. Eventually, she moved to the Sweet Home School District’s Maintenance Department, where she served as secretary until she she retired. While she was retired she did home care for Patsy, which she loved.
Bonnie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, reading, coast trips, playing cards and Bunco, all sporting events that involved her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She LOVED the Oregon Ducks. Bonnie enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Kenny Gregory; son Dirrell Wayne Harper; daughter Shalene Gill and her husband Glen, all of Sweet Home; sister Debbie Sills of Keizer; brother Wally Haven and his wife Patty of Aloha; grandkids Tiffanie (Hunter), Cindy (Chappo), Jeff (Kim), Nick, Jasmine (Jake), Haily (Bryant), and Zach; great- grandkids Maddison, Abby, Tianna, Adrian, Grace, Jeremiah, Jreson, Kerra, Jace and Peyton.
She was preceded in passing by her mother, Grace Brigman; step-dad Jim Brigman; son Dennis James Harper; and brother Larry Haven.
A memorial service with potluck dinner will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at Sweet Home VFW.
