The high school varsity boys won one of three games at a basketball tournament held Wednesday through Friday at Stayton High School.
After suffering a big 82-42 loss to La Grande Wednesday, the boys beat Scio 50-32 Thursday but lost 49-37 to Blanchet Catholic Friday.
Against La Grande, “we just didn’t play very good in general,” said Coach Drew Emmert. “They’re a great team. They just played better than we did.”
