Brenda Lee (Thill) Black, 46, of Sweet Home, died Jan. 6, 2005 at Twin Oaks Care Center, after many years of battling with multiple sclerosis.
She was born Lebanon on March 10, 1958 to Richard W. and Janet M. (Davis) Thill. She lived in Sweet Home her whole life. She attended Sweet Home schools as a youth. She married Duane Bate, and they had two children. Their marriage later ended in divorce. Later, she married David Black, which also ended in divorce.
Mrs. Black was known for her ability to donate her time for people in need.
She is survived by: her children, Brandi Bate of Lebanon and Nichol Bate of Albany; mother Janet Thill of Apache Junction, Ariz.; sisters Toni Hutson and Suzi Jordan, both of Sweet Home; grandmother Thelma Davis of Lebanon; three grandchildren; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Thill, granddaughter Phoenix Seiber and great-niece Taylor Holley.
Viewing will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at the Sweet Home Evangelical Church. Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
