The Husky baseball dominated Molalla Thursday at home, ending the game 10-0 after five innings.
“Brent Smith dominated Molalla today, striking out 11 and walking only two,” Coach Dan Tow said. “He was just very focused for the entire game.
“Offensively, we hit the ball well an got production from people up and down our lineup.
“Chris Phillips, especially, had a good day at the plate, and it was nice to see. Joe Rosa hit a long ball today.
“We just played well on both sides of the ball today.”
Phillips went 3-3 with a double, one RBI and three runs. Carey Hintze went 2-3 with a double and two RBIs. Bryce Beard went 2-3 with an RBI. Brandon Martin went 2-3 with two RBIs. Joe Rosa had a solo home run. Molalla produced only one hit.
Stayton defeated the Huskies at home 11-0 on May 6.
