Thirty-six student scholars from the 17 Oregon community colleges received recognition from Governor Kitzhaber in the 10th annual Outstanding Student Scholar Awards ceremony at the state capitol on Friday, April 12.
Erin Bartelds and Bret Furtwangler were chosen to receive this honor from Linn-Benton Community College.
Statewide, colleges choose the scholars for outstanding academic achievement and contribution to their communities. LBCC’s student scholars are elected to both the All-America USA award and student scholar award.…
