Brian Severns
July 15, 1955 – Nov. 11, 2025
Brian James Severns, affectionately known to friends and family as “Bri” or “Fuzz”, passed away peacefully on Nov. 11, 2025, in Albany at the age of 59.
He was born on July 15, 1966, in Lebanon. A proud graduate of Sweet Home High School, class of 1984, Brian’s love for sports was evident through his contributions to the school newspaper, where he honed his writing skills covering various athletic events.
Brian lived fully and loved many things. He enjoyed tennis, basketball, and golf, and he felt most at peace when fishing or camping in Oregon’s great outdoors. He never missed a chance to watch football—especially when the Miami Dolphins or Oregon Ducks were playing. He also had a deep appreciation for music and could always be counted on to share a story that left everyone smiling.
Those who knew Brian will fondly remember him as a selfless individual, always placing the needs of others before his own. His smile and sense of humor were infectious, leaving a lasting mark on all who had the pleasure of his company.
Brian’s legacy is carried on by his loving family. He leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Kayla and Kris Norris, and grandsons, Kingston and Kendrick Norris, who will miss their grandfather’s guidance.
His parents, Gerry and Alice Severns, cherish the memory of their son, as does his brother, Shawn Severns, and his wife, Firiel. Brian’s spirit will also live on through his nephews, Jered and his wife Ashley, Brady and his wife Shay, and his great-nephew, Camden.
He was a beloved member of an extended family and a friend to many.
Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents and his Uncle Brian Severns, after whom he was lovingly named. Their reunion is a comforting thought to those he left behind.
