Buel “Bud” E. Olson, Jr., 58, of Sweet Home, died Nov. 26, 2017 at the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House.
He was born Feb. 18, 1959 in Albany, the son of Buel and Norma (Vinery) Olson.
He was raised in Lebanon and Albany, graduating from South Albany High School in 1977.
Mr. Olson worked in the logging industry the majority of his life and had most recently been employed by Ward Contracting in Sodaville.
He enjoyed working in the woods. He loved music, especially the band AC/DC. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren, his “Babies.”
Mr. Olson is survived by his girlfriend of 20 years. Early May Ferguson of Sweet Home; daughters Lisa Zollinger of Brownsville and Christy Mesa of Albany; brother Brian Olson and sister Kristen Lee, both of Albany; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry Olson.
A family memorial service was held.
