Holley School Counselor Terry Augustadt records video of the words written on students’ paper airplanes on Nov. 2. As part of the school’s efforts to curb bullying, students wrote down a word they associated with bullying on a piece of paper, which they would then fold into a paper airplane. The students gathered in the Holley School yard and formed a circle to throw the airplanes, to throw away “the words that hurt.”
Students then picked up a paper airplane and held it up to show Augustadt what word had been written on the airplane.
