Jack Schultz of Oakland, Calif., was the top winner in the second annual Kokanee Derby sponsored by Kokanee Power of Oregon, held Saturday on Green Peter Lake.
Some 63 anglers participated in the event, which paid a top prize of $400 with paydowns to 10th place.
Schultz caught 4.31 pounds of kokanee before showing up at the weigh-in at Sunnyside Park.
Second-place winner was Rick Fielder of Rogue River, also with 4.31 pounds. Schultz was ruled the winner because he caught the biggest fish of the two.
Third was Greg Smith of Salem with 4.23 pounds, with Albany’s Kevin Anderson fourth with 3.90.
Ray Brant of Lebanon placed ninth with 3.39 pounds.
Blind Bogey winner was Glenda Smith of Salem, with 2.40 pounds, which won her $82.50.
Curtis Hyde of Albany won a Chinook side pot with a 2.96-pound fish, worth $52.50.
Largest kokanee caught was just a hair over 17 inches..
