JARED SEVERNS looks around the scene of a crash in the 1800 block of Ames Creek Drive just south of Grape and 18th. Steven Ray Brown, 31, was arrested for reckless driving, driving under the influence and hit and run and cited for driving while suspended. He was cited and released. Brown’s vehicle, a 2004 Mazda 6, collided with a 2009 Kia four-door owned by Brady Severns that was parked in a driveway. Brown’s vehicle continued through a neighbor’s front yard before coming to rest in the neighbor’s driveway. Police Chief Jeff Lynn said a third vehicle was believed to be involved, racing Brown’s vehicle, when Brown’s vehicle went out of control. The vehicle, a black and silver 2009 Chevrolet pickup found unattended further up Ames Creek Drive. Police are seeking the driver and ask that anyone with information call the Police Department at (541) 367-5181. Lynn said that two of Brown’s passengers complained of minor injuries.
