Carol Ann Salsbery, 71, of Sweet Home died Jan. 3, 2017.
She was born Sept. 22, 1945 in Burns to Gerald John and Viola Mae (Stark) Daniel.
She moved to Sweet Home in 1972 with her then-husband James Salsbery, where they settled and raised their family.
Mrs. Salsbery began working at the Sweet Home Police Department Sept. 1, 1981, and continued until Sept. 30, 2010. She was a dispatcher and records clerk during that time.
She was a member of St. Helens Catholic Church.
Mrs. Salsbery enjoyed camping, going to the casino, painting and fishing. She spent most of her life helping the public. She was a great mom and dear friend to many and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her ex-husband, James Salsbery of Albany; daughters Wendi and son-in-law Scott Melcher, Jami and son-in-law John Snyder; and son James Salsbery, all of Sweet Home; brother Ronnie Daniel of Burns; and nine grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald John and Viola Mae Daniel; and brothers Sunny and Richard Daniel.
A celebration of life will be from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Sweet Home Elks Lodge. Lunch will be provided and friends may drop in anytime to say “hi” and tell stories about Mrs. Salsbery.
