Carolyn Wilkerson

Carolyn Mae Wilkerson, 89, of Sweet Home passed away April 4, 2026.
She was born Aug. 14, 1936, to Velma (Clark) and Sanford Gunter in Redlands, Calif.
She grew up in Southern California and moved to Sweet Home in 1969. She was an elementary teacher for 26 years.
Her hobbies included art and crafts, golf, playing bridge and fishing. She loved to travel and to cook.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Felix Wilkerson; her daughter Mishell Swartwout of Grants Pass; and son Michael Wilkerson of Sweet Home; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Wilkerson (2020); and sister Cathie Slocum (2025).
