Cary Joe Trent, 56, of Sweet Home died June 29, 2012.
He was born Oct. 17, 1955 in Lebanon to Oliver Dale Trent and Shirley Jean (Scott) Whitton.
He lived in the Sweet Home area until 1991 when he moved to Nikiski, Alaska. In 2001 Mr. Trent moved back to Sweet Home and lived here until his death.
He worked for various companies as an appliance repairman and in the oil fields in Alaska.
Mr. Trent loved fishing, camping, swimming and spending time with his grandkids, children, wife and other family members.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Trent of Sweet Home; mother Shirley Whitton of Sweet Home; two sons, Joe and daughter-in-law Amber Trent of Kasilof, Alaska, and Jason and daughter-in-law Crystal Trent of Soldotna, Alaska; brother Louis Trent of Pendleton; and nine grandchildren, all of Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Dale Trent, and stepfather Larry D. Whitton.
No formal services are planned. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
