Marilyn and Larry Sloan of 42145 North River Dr. will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 20.
Marilyn Taylor and Larry Sloan, both of Sweet Home, were married in 1952 in Sweet Home. They have lived in Sweet Home since 1948.
Mr. Sloan was pastor at Sweet Home Community Chapel for 12 years and Sweet Home Mennonite for 13 years. Mrs. Sloan was a homemaker.
Their children include Willow Nelson, Marilyn Stalhiem, Becky Pearce and Scott Sloan of Sweet Home. Two deceased sons are Jim and Greg Sloan. They have six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A reception will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 21 at the Lebanon Evangelical Annex at Park and Vine streets.
