Charlene Gay Hampton, 69, of Sweet Home died Thursday.
She was born in Sumner, Neb., to Charlie and Esther (Winston) Potter.
She has lived in Sumner, Neb.; McMinnville; Dayton; Lafayette; and Sweet Home, Oregon. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Hampton enjoyed fishing, pinochle, playing guitar and accordion. She loved to dance when she was younger.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ray Hampton Sr. of Sweet Home; children, Ray Hampton Jr., Keven Hampton and Shannon Hampton; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
