He was born Sept. 25, 1944 in Maroa, Ill., to Harold Lenard and Effie Myrtle (VanHorn) Harrington.
He lived in various places in Illinois during his younger years, including Maroa, Clinton, Chestnut and Decatur.
He moved to Sweet Home in 1981, then to Fort Rock from 2001 to 2014, before returning to Sweet Home.
