Charles Mullenix

Feb. 4, 1939 – Sept. 7, 2011

Charles “Chuck” Mullenix, 72, of Lebanon died Sept. 7, 2011 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.

He was born Feb. 4, 1939 in Chicog, Wisc. the son of Archibald and Lila (Christenson) Mullenix. He moved to Lebanon in the early 1950s, attending school there. ‘As a teen, he worked in a small sawmill which his father owned near Corvallis. He worked as a logger throughout Linn County for over 25 years.

Mr. Mullenix worked for Linn County Road Dept. as a grader operator for fourteen years, retiring in 2001.

He was a member of the Lebanon First Assembly of God Church and the Lebanon Moose Lodge. He loved fishing, hunting, cutting firewood, doing carpentry and cabinet work. He served on the Sodaville City Council for over 20 years and as mayor for 10 years.

Mr. Mullenix married Sharon Teigen on Sept. 1, 1959 in Lebanon.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon of Lebanon; son Danny Albert and wife Kimberly Mullenix of Lebanon; grandchildren, Elisha Dawson of Ketchikan, AK and John Ryan Mullenix of Lebanon; brothers, Ronald of Salem, Art and Butch Mullenix both of Lebanon; sisters, Kathleen Brown and Carol Cottrell both of Lebanon and many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Monday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Huston-Jost Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Lebanon First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Lebanon I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
