The Sweet Home competition cheer squad took first place Saturday at the Springfield Invitational. “We beat last year’s state champions, Newport,” said coach Crystal Kimball. “The girls did very well.” The squad is scheduled to be back in action Saturday, Jan. 20, at McKay for the Northwest Cheer Challenge.
