The Sweet Home competitive cheer squad finished third in the 3A small division at Tualatin High School Saturday.
“The girls did very well,” said coach Crystal Kimball. “There were some really good teams and it was almost everyone that will be at state.”
Sweet Home is expected to compete Saturday, Feb. 11, against 15 3A small teams at the state championships, which will be held at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland. Competition begins at 9 a.m. and Sweet Home will perform 13th.
“We were able to get a good idea of what were are up against for state,” Kimball said of the Tualatin trip. “We will be really working hard this week to get ready.”
