The Sweet Home High School cheerleading squad was the only team in its division at the Oregon Elite Pre-State Classic held Saturday at the Oregon State Fairgrounds.
“I thought it went pretty good,” said Coach Amber Rosa.
Junior Jordyn Price, one of the team’s fliers, broke two ribs the night before, she said, and freshman Karlie Callin is filling in as an alternate.
The team is adjusting its routine for state, she said, and she expects the girls to be ready.
The junior high squad took first in its division. Junior high state will be held Sunday.
