The Sweet Home cheer squad took first place in its final regular-season competition Saturday, the Tualatin “Last Chance” event. “We set a goal for ourselves to hit the 80s with our score and we got an 82,” said Coach Crystal Kimball. “Our competiton scores have been consistently been increasing. We went from 76 to a 77, then a 78 and this weekend an 82. Anytime you hit the 80s, that’s a very good thing.” The team will compete Saturday at the state championships at the Portland Memorial Coliseum.
