Cheryle Vore

Cheryle Maria (Cotterman) Vore, 77, peacefully passed away at 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026, at her home in Lebanon.
Cheryle was born on Aug. 8, 1949, in Troy, Ohio, to LeRoy and Dorothy (Kurtz) Cotterman. She graduated from Miami East High School in Ohio in 1967.
In September 1968, Cheryle married the love of her life, James “Jim” Vore, in Terre Haute, Ohio. They moved to San Diego, Calif., in 1968 and made their home in Oregon in 1970.
Jim and Cheryle joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1972, where Cheryle faithfully served in many callings, including Relief Society, Young Women, and genealogy.
Cheryle found joy in caring for her home and family. She enjoyed baking, canning, Swedish weaving, and making Christmas ornaments. Above all, she cherished her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the time spent with her family.
She is survived by her children: David (Holly) Vore of Christmas Valley; Joseph (Melissa) Vore of Lebanon; Jeremy (Dawn) Vore of Elko, Nev.; Daniel (Amber) Vore of Lebanon; and Carly Vore of Lebanon.
She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, with one more great-grandchild on the way; brothers Fred Keyer and Jack Cotterman; and sisters Patty Dovel, Linda Baker and Martha Ombrek.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Vore; brothers Robert Keyer and Bob Cotterman; and her parents, LeRoy and Dorothy Cotterman.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday, October 9, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lebanon.
