About 35 local residents got to hear some of the spookier stories of Oregon’s past Thursday, Oct. 20, during the Sweet Home Library’s “Oregon Mysteries and Ghosts” presentation by storytellers Anne Rutherford, above, and Norm Brecke. The pair perform as the “Oregon Tellers,” including a few spooky or off-beat songs. Their repertoire included tales of haunted houses, the reputed Russell Battery ghost at Fort Stevens, near Seaside, Bigfoot sightings, and much more. Below, they perform an original song by Rutherford, “Your Blood-Sucking Heart,” which she categorized as “country-vampire”-genre.
