Christen “Chris” Ives, 60, of Sweet Home, died May 12, 2006 at his home.
He was born in Bremerton, Wash., to Clare and Claudine (Staples) Ives. He married Kathy Beller on June 20, 1981. He served in the Marines.
He was active in his church, where he provided videos for worship services, and also created personal videos. He enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time with his family.
He is survived his wife, Kathy; his children, Elisa Dyer of Corona, Calif., Joel Ives of Texas, and Katie Ives of Westminster, Colo.; three grandchildren; and his sister, Penny Hill of Vernonia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lance Ives.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church. Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
