Christine Marie Tiffany Smith, 29, of Sweet Home died Jan. 27, 2014.
She was born Feb. 11, 1984 in Orange, Texas to Kirk and Roxanne (Hageness) Smith.
She moved to Sweet Home in 1987 at the age of 3. She attended school in Sweet Home, graduating with honors in 2002. She graduated from the International Air Academy in 2004.
Most of Ms. Smith’s employment was in customer service in the restaurant industry. She was a member of Riverside Christian Church in Sweet Home and loved teaching the young children in Sunday School. Her compassion for others compelled her to grow her hair and donate it to Locks of Love. She loved the Oregon Jamboree and attended all of its concerts since its inception.
She enjoyed being in Girl Scouts. Her love of cookie sales won her top sales girl two years in a row. Ms. Smith was extremely active in sports, excelling and lettering in water polo, swim team, and track and field for four years. She spent several years in tae kwon do, earning a red belt. Collecting Beanie Babies was also her passion.
She is survived by her 3-year-old daughter, Amaya Pollick of Sweet Home; mother Roxanne Smith of Sandy, Utah; brother James and his sister-in-law Alex of Sweet Home; sister Nyree and brother-in-law Chris Kowalski of Mary Ester, Fla.; grandfather Blair Smith of Sweet Home; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, most of whom live in the Sweet Home area.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kirk Smith in 2011; and her grandmother, Beaulah “Dittie” Smith.
Funeral services were held Feb. 3 at Riverside Christian Church in Sweet Home, with private burial at Gilliland Cemetery.
