Christopher Dean-Smith

Christopher B. Dean-Smith (Sells), 19, of Sweet Home died Nov. 29, 2007. He was born in June 9, 1988 in Lebanon to Dwayne Sells and Sandra Smith.

Mr. Dean-Smith lived in Sweet Home and then a short time in Salem with his Grandpa Darold and Grandma Patty. He worked in construction for a while and was also a roofer with his cousin Robbie for a short time. He was able to travel some and went to Mexico, Texas, Arizona and always came home with stories of his travels.

He loved to four-wheel, go muddin’, play horseshoes, music and shoot guns. He liked to fish and hunt. He was a deer and elk hunter. He loved the outdoors and camping. He was a state wrestling champion.

He loved to be with little kids; he would go out with them and play baseball, wrestle, play video games, throw water balloons, etc. He was very respectful to the older generation.

Mr. Dean-Smith is survived by his son Danny; mother, Sandy; father, Dwayne; and brother, Cody – all of Sweet Home. Other survivors are his grandfather and grandmother, Darold and Patty Smith of Salem; his Uncle Todd of Arizona; Aunt Robin of Lebanon; Aunt Cindy of Seattle, Wash.; Aunt Linda of Buxton; Uncle Bob Dean of California; Uncle Craig of Salem; and many cousins and family.

A funeral service was held Tuesday morning, Dec. 4, at Sweet Home Evangelical Church.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
