Jason Dalebout

Jason Milton Dalebout pleaded no contest to a charge of coercion May 2 in Linn County Circuit Court as part of a plea agreement.

Dalebout was sentenced to 31 months in prison, with credit for time served.

He will be on post-prison supervision for 36 months, and he was fined $200.

Dismissed were three counts of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of coercion, three counts of menacing, unauthorized use of a vehicle and first-degree burglary.

Dalebout was arrested after allegedly threatening three women while brandishing a pellet gun and a knife in a hom inside Mountain Shadows manufactured home park, 1530 Tamarack St.

Justin Gomez

Justin Ray Gomez was sentenced to jail and 18 months supervised probation in Linn County Circuit Court April 18 in connection to an April 2 pursuit that ended in a crash with a 6-month-old baby in the car.

Since his sentencing, Linn County Circuit Court issued an order for him to appear in a hearing on July 11 and show cause why his probation should not be revoked for failing to obey all laws and for violating diversion by consuming intoxicants.

He was arrested for harassment and strangulation in a domestic violence case May 19.

In the first case, he pleaded guilty to attempting to elude a police officer and recklessly endangering another person as part of a plea agreement.

He received diversion on a charge of driving under the influence, and a charge of reckless driving was dismissed.

In each of the first two charges, he was sentenced to 10 days in jail and 18 months probation. He must pay $790 in fees and fines.

The original charges stem from an incident where police officers responded to a reported disturbance at Chewy’s, 1200 12th Ave.

Gomez allegedly sped away. Police officers pursued him north at up to 60 mph on 12th Avenue. Gomez crashed his vehicle at the intersection of 12th Avenue and Tamarack Street, where officers took him into custody.

Neither Gomez nor the baby were injured in the crash.

Gomez had gone to Chewy’s to confront his girlfriend, prompting the report to the police.

In addition to a show cause hearing, Gomez is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on the new charges on July 11.

They were among three men arrested March 31 and accused of kidnapping a female at Yellow Bottom Campground. The 24-year-old female was a relative of all three men.

Foster is her father and Routon was her husband.

During the kidnapping, a gunshot was reportedly fired near the campground, which is about 22 miles up Quartzville Road, east of Sweet Home.

She was located at her mother’s address, just outside of Albany.

She was taken to Albany General Hospital for treatment of minor bruises and scrapes.

Charges against the third suspect, Richard Thomas Foster, the victim’s uncle, were dropped by the Linn County district attorney.
