Matthew Allen Pitts
Matthew Allen Pitts, 30, pleaded no contest to unlawful use of a weapon and was sentenced to 36 months probation in Linn County Circuit Court Feb. 13.
Charges of menacing and third-degree theft were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Unlawful use of a weapon is a class C felony.
Pitts was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for time served.
Pitts had been arrested and charged in connection to the theft of two sausage sticks and pulling a knife on a member of the staff at Thriftway, 621 Main St., on June 13.
Police used a dog to locate Pitts behind the Veteran’s Club across Main Street following the incident.
As part of his probation, Pitts was ordered to report to Linn County Mental Health within five days to schedule a mental health assessment and to follow through with any treatment or after care recommended as a result of the assessment.
He also was ordered to have no contact with Thriftway or the staff member.
He was fined $100.
Lee Charles Baltezore II
Lee Charles Baltezore II, 20, pleaded guilty to contributing the sexual delinquency of a minor and was sentenced to five days of compensatory service and fined $100 on Feb. 8 in Linn County Circuit Court.
The charge is a class A misdemeanor.
The charge stemmed from an incident involving a female under the age of 18 while Baltezore was over the age of 18. He was arrested by Sweet Home police on Oct. 24.
Richard Duane Porter III
Richard Duane Porter III, 36, was sentenced Jan. 18 in Linn County Circuit Court to 36 months probation after he pleaded guilty to attempting to commit a class B felony.
A charge of menacing was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
The attempt charge is a class C felony.
As part of the sentence, Porter was ordered to have no contact with the victim and to complete a domestic violence intervention program as directed by a probation officer.
Porter was sentenced to 18 days in jail with credit for time served. He was fined $100.
