The Sweet Home City Council approved a new sign ordinance during its regular meeting on Dec. 14.
The approval is the culmination of nearly two years of work on the new ordinance by the Planning Commission, City Council and staff.
The new ordinance should leave existing signs largely unaffected, according to city officials.
