This is just a note for the City Council members who are considering the privatization of the water plant.
Have they heard the phrase, “Pennywise and pound foolish?”
I hope they think about it when they are considering all the very experienced (already trained) and dedicated people at the water plant.
How many of the new employees will get off their duffs and help out with your community activities? How many will work like these men did when we had the windstorm? It wasn’t their job description.
This is their home and has been for quite some time.
There is more than money involved here. You get what you pay for sometimes.
