Clara Ellen Gosser, 85, of Sweet Home, died April 3, 2006 at Twin Oaks Rehab & Care Center.
She was born in Remer, Minn., to John A. and Annie (Williams) Anderson, and graduated from Remer High School in 1937 as valedictorian.
She came to Sweet Home that summer and took post-graduate classes at Sweet Home High School. She married Melvin J. Morehead in 1939. After Mr. Morehead died in 1949, she married Robert D. Gosser. He died in April 2002.
Mrs. Gosser was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She was a faithful Christian who was very active in church functions. She loved to sing and sang in many duets and quartets. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and her family.
She spent her final eight years at Twin Oaks Rehab and Care.
She is survived by her children, Karen Morehead Kalebaugh of Sweet Home, Roland J. Morehead of Sweet Home, Thomas G. Gosser of Sweet Home and John M. Gosser of San Francisco; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Esther Anderson White of Remer, Minn., and many more family and friends.
In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Gosser was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Clemons, Theodore Clemons, Leroy Clemons and John Anderson; her sister, Ora Bloyer; a granddaughter, Larissa Morehead; and a grandson, Wade Gosser.
