Clarinda O. Erickson, 92, formerly of Sweet Home died at Tierra Rose Care Center in Salem on Friday, Aug. 18.
She was born in Ryder, N.D., to Olaf and Hilda (Lidblom) Troite.
She married Edward Erickson in 1932 in Minnesota.
They came to Sweet Home in 1951 and raised 7 children.
In 2000 she moved to The Oaks in Lebanon. Ffor the last 10 months, she lived at Tierra Rose Care Center.
Clarinda enjoyed crocheting afghans. She crocheted The Lord’s Supper and The Lord’s Prayer and donated them to the First Baptist Church in Sweet Home. She also enjoyed camping and the outdoors.
Mrs. Erickson is survived by sons, Delaine Erickson of Liberty, Merelyn and Lowell Erickson of Salem and Robert Erickson of Lake Stevens, Wash.; daughter, Shirley Davis of Sisters; sisters, Olga Erickson of Eugene, Selma Hansen of North Dakota and Stella Belik of North Dakota; brother, Leslie Troite of Sweet Home; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Edward Erickson; sons, Allen and Roger Erickson; brother, Arnold Troite; and sister, Emma Lewis.
A graveside service was be held on Aug. 21 at Gilliland Cemetery.
Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.
