Clydie Burnette

Clydie Louetta Burnette, 85, of Sweet Home passed away Nov. 3, 2025 in McMinnville. She was born June 16, 1940, to Margie M. (Byrd) and Louis L. Scates in Madison County, Ark.
Louetta lived in Huntsville, Ark., attended school in Eagle Creek and Estacada, and also lived in Sandy, Sutherlin, Portland and Talent for 31 years.
She moved to Sweet Home in 2010.
She worked many years as a bartender and at Bear Creek Corporation (Harry and David). Louetta loved to garden and tend to her flowers.
She is survived by her children: Tina Manley of Columbus, Miss., Terry Pepiot of Sweet Home, Scott Pepiot of Bossier City, La., and Julie Nicholson of Arlington, Wash.; siblings Kathy Ecker of McMinnville, Louis Scates of Lake Oswego, Donnie Scates of Huntsville, Ark., and Harrieta Bollinger, also of Huntsville; granddaughter Bobi Babbitt of Sweet Home, who lived with her for much of her childhood and teen years; 10 other grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Burnette (2010); parents Louis (1992) amd Margie (1986); four sisters and a brother.
Donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude.
