Central Linn’s fifth- and sixth-grade baseball players show off their trophy and rings after winning their first tournament of the season May 3-4 in Happy Valley. Koontz said the Cobras lost their first game on a technicality (time limit rule) after scoring two runs in the final inning to tie that game 4-4. But they bounced back to win their next three and then faced the same team they’d lost to in the final and 10-runned them to win the championship. They were 5-0 in local JBO play entering this week.
