Sweet Home police are investigating a shooting incident that wounded a 31-year-old man the morning of June 10.
Sweet Home Police Department received a call from Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital that a patient had arrived with a gunshot wound to the leg.
“He was reporting it happened somewhere near the east end of town, near the city limits,” said Sgt. Jason Ogden.
“He’s not cooperative at this point in time,” said Police Chief Jeff Lynn. “And it’s still under investigation.”
The victim, Jessie Richardson, 31, told police he was walking near Shea Point when a vehicle pulled up and someone fired shots at him from the vehicle, Lynn said.
Anyone with any information about the shooting should contact Ogden at (541) 367-5181.
