During a traffic safety blitz from Feb. 10 to Feb. 26, officers from Sweet Home Police Department conducted 96 traffic stops, issued five verbal warnings for safety belt violations and issued five citations for failure to use a seatbelt, according to Sgt. Jason Van Eck.
Overall, they issued 113 verbal warnings and 27 citations.
Along with agencies around the state, Sweet Home police participated in the blitz in cooperation with the Oregon Department of Transportation.…
