Cory Allen Taylor

Cory Taylor

May 24, 1969 – Aug. 24, 2025

Cory Allen Taylor, 56, passed away peacefully on Aug. 24, 2025, at his home in Arizona with his loving wife Jeannette and stepson by his side.

He was born May 24, 1969, in Albany to Louie and Virginia (Kaldman) Taylor. Cory was a 1987 graduate of Sweet Home High School. He studied from 1987 to 1989 at Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, Ariz., getting his master mechanic’s degree.

He was an entrepreneur from a very young age, selling doughnuts at school, building BMX bikes, operating  stereo box and metal fabrication businesses, and was owner and CEO of GM Experts in Mesa, Ariz.

As a young boy he was a BMX racer and would build bikes for his friends. He was a drummer and marched in the high school band. He was an awesome break dancer! As a teenager he worked on his friends’ cars, fixing engines and installing stereos, and always had the music blasting. You could hear him coming from blocks away.

He loved racing on the dunes and spending time there with his nieces. He lived life to the fullest!

Cory married Jeannette Almendarez on June 25, 2022. He was active in the church where Jeannette’s sister is a pastor. He was on a mission trip to Mexico and helped serve the homeless on the weekends, doing the best he could with his failing health, always with a beautiful smile on his face.

Cory was preceded in death by his father and mother, and son Seth Taylor (by a previous

marriage). Cory is survived by his wife, Jeannette; son Joshua Taylor (by a previous marriage); brother Randy (Tana) Taylor; sister Pamela (Gary) Rasmussen; nieces Desiree Barringer,  Tiffany Starha and Brie Duff; nephews Cameron Taylor and Chase Taylor; and many cousins.

In Arizona a viewing and Celebration of Life will be at 2pmMonday, Sept. 8, at  Turning Leaf Church of the Nazarene, 5800 N. Litchfield Road, Litchfield Park, Ariz.

He will be brought back to Sweet Home for his final resting place, and we will post information about a service for him here at a later date.
