The City Council appointed and reappointed members to three committees during its regular meeting on Oct. 27.
The council reappointed Bud Mather and Shirley Hansen to the Traffic Safety Committee. Their current terms expire on Nov. 7.
Their new terms expire on Nov. 7, 2011. The committee makes recommendations to the City Council regarding traffic safety issues.
The council reappointed James Reasons Jr., Frank Javersak, Dave Holley, Daniel Holman and Greg Korn to the Board of Appeals with terms expiring on Oct. 31, 2011. The board hears appeals of decisions made by the building official regarding the building code.
The council also appointed Korn to the Budget Committee, with a term expiring on Oct. 26, 2012. The committee has had a vacancy since June 30. The committee reviews the city’s proposed budget, sometimes changing line items, in the spring and then passes a recommended budget to the City Council for approval by June 30 each year.
