As of Monday, six candidates had filed to run for City Council in November.
Terms expire on Dec. 31 for four incumbents, Craig Fentiman, Greg Mahler, Scott McKee Jr. and Bruce Hobbs.
Hobbs and Mahler have filed to run. Fentiman said he will not run, and McKee said he is undecided.
Also filing to run are Aaron Pye, who is serving on the Traffic Safety Committee; Anay Hausner, a member of the Planning Commission; James Goble, a member of the Planning Commission; and Jeff Goodwin, an attorney working at Wittwer Law Office.
The deadline to file for City Council is 5 p.m. on Friday.

To be eligible to run, a candidate must have resided in Sweet Home for at least one year and must be an eligible voter. Candidates may file by gathering signatures or paying a filing fee.
