Sweet Home Sanitation is requesting a 3.5 percent increase on commercial and residential trash service.
The City Council received the request at its regular meeting on May 12 and held the first reading of an ordinance to implement the increase. The council will hold two more readings of the ordinance before deciding whether to allow the rate increase.
