County’s chip sealing efforts preserves roads, saves money

The Linn County Road Department chip sealed almost 43 miles of paved roads this summer, according to Kevin Hamilton, the Road Department’s Operations Manager.

Hamilton said about 21.3 miles of roads were chip sealed in the Sweet Home Maintenance District and the same amount in the Scio Maintenance District.
