Couple wed at Evaneglical Church

Carlene R. Hutchins and Sean E. Erickson were married in a double-ring ceremony on Jan. 24, 2002 at Sweet Home Evangelical Church with Pastor Pete Kauffman of the Sweet Home Mennonite Church officiating.

Parents are Larry and Anita Hutchins of Sweet Home and Erland and Lynne Erickson of Sweet Home.

The ceremony focused on uniting two hearts as well as two families in a lifelong commitment. Two do this, the bride and groom included their children throughout the wedding. Bridesmaids were Hayley, Larisa and Rylee Cole, daughters of the bride. Groomsmen were Colton and Seth Erickson, sons of the groom.

The service began with the bridesmaids singing “Going to the Chapel” and closed with all five children joining in the lighting of the unity candle.

The bride was given away be her father, Larry Hutchins.

The bride wore cream and wine silk dress. She carried a small bouquet of cream lilies, burgundy roses and baby’s breath.

The bridesmaids wore cream dresses, tea length. They carried a single stem burgundy rose and cream lily.

To maintain the intimate atmosphere, the guest list was limited to immediate family members and close friends of the bride and groom.

Mrs. Erickson is a 1980 graduate of Sweet Home High School and a 1983 graduate of Judson Baptist College in The Dalles. She is employed by Little Promises Children’s Programs as assistant director, aka Miss Carli.

Mr. Erickson is a 1986 graduate of Sweet Home High School. He is employed by Hessel of Eugene and is enrolled in the CET program through Linn-Benton Community College.

After a brief honeymoon trip tot he coast, the newlyweds reside in Sweet Home.
