Couple married Aug. 26

Amanda McKinnon and Michael Peaslee of Albany were married on Aug. 26 at Holley Christian Church.

Mrs. Peaslee is the daughter of Bill and Donny McKinnon of Sweet Home. She graduated from Sweet Home High School and Linn-Benton Community College and is employed by Coastal Farm and Home as an accounting clerk.

Mr. Peaslee is the son of David Peaslee and Shiela Peaslee, both of Lebanon. He is a graduate of Lebanon High School and LBCC. He is a dispatcher with the Albany Police Department.

Pastor Kent Mayberry performed the ceremony with 150 guests. Donna Lee Studios provided photography.

Maid of honor was sister of the bride Jennifer McKinnon of Bend. Bridesmaids included friend of the bride Sara Miller of Corvallis, friend of the bride Martha Schaleger of Albany.

Flower girls were Taylore Peaslee, niece of the groom, and Chelsea Peaslee, daughter of the groom. Ring bearer was Austin Burroughs, a friend.

Best man was brother of the groom Jeff Peaslee of Albany. Ushers and groomsmen were Troy Mickelson and Michael Maddox.

Candlelighter was Anri Hasako. Mrs. Peaslee was host sister to Hasako, who was an exchange student from Japan.

The bride wore a white satin gown with a beaded lace overlay. She had a full-length veil that was made of Venice lace and a headpiece of flowers. Her cascading bouquet had stargazer lilies, pink and white roses, scabiousa, stephantis alstra meria lilies and baby’s breath.

Bridesmaids wore sleeveless, floor-length, periwinkle empire style dresses. Their bouquet’s were similar but smaller.

A reception was given by the families of the couple in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Peaslee took their one-week honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii. They now reside in Albany.
