Daniel Kilpatrick

Daniel Tommy Kilpatrick, 78, of Sweet Home, died Sept. 30, 2022.

He was born July 3, 1944, in Jerome Prairie to Ned and Willa Mae (Schwinn) Kilpatrick.

In his youth, Mr. Kilpatrick worked on commercial fishing boats and in logging.

He and his wife Rose moved to Sweet Home in November of 1980, where he worked for Boise Cascade in Sweet Home and various other mills in the valley. He finished his career in mill work at Boise Cascade in Independence.

Mr. Kilpatrick enjoyed hunting, fishing, gold mining and attending church. He loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rose Kilpatrick of Sweet Home; children Sarah and son-in-law Tim Holder of Sweet Home, Ned Kilpatrick and Olivia Kilpatrick, all of Lebanon, and Amanda Kilpatrick of Sweet Home; brother Perry of Grants Pass; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kilpatrick was preceded in death by his parents; oldest daughter Danielle Terry of Washington; brothers Benny and Larry Kilpatrick, both of Grants Pass; and sister Nancy McVeigh of Brookings.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Sweet Home Christian Church.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
