Daniel Paul Suing, 79, of Lebanon passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was born to Edith A. (Bolf) and Clemens F. Suing on May 17, 1944 in Lebanon.

Dan served in the US Army from 1965-1971 including 13 months in Korea on the DMZ. He was born and raised on the family farm since he was two years old. In 1980 he built their own home and has lived there since.

March of 1968, Dan started working at Linn Gear Company where he worked for 48 years as a machinist and later in the engineering department before fully retiring due to health reasons.

Dan enjoyed building anything mechanical including a log loader, and any piece of machinery needed on the family farm. He also, with the help of his wife, constructed a park on the property along Hamilton Creek that has served many happy gatherings.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Shirley Suing; love grandsons Eric and Luke Flierl and many family members. Preceded in death by his son, Todd Daniel Suing (1988), brother, Michael Suing (1943), and his parents Clemens and Edith Suing.

Memorial service will be 1 pm Tuesday April 16th at River of Life Fellowship in Sweet Home. Live stream of the service can be found at https://www.facebook.com/theriversho?mibextid=uzlsIk. Final burial with military honors will be at 3:30 pm at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lebanon. Memorial contributions can be made to River of Life Fellowship.
