Two Lebanon girls, the daughters of a Sweet Home teacher, were killed Sunday evening in an automobile accident.
The girls, daughters of Holley Elementary teacher Aleta May, were 17-year-old Larisa Ann May and 12-year-old Sonia Alene May.
Shortly before 5:30 p.m., Larisa was driving her family’s 1988 Ford Bronco westbound on Berlin Road near Hidden Valley Road when she drifted into the soft shoulder, overcorrected and rolled several times. The vehicle came to rest on its top in the ditch on the eastbound side of the road.
Larisa died instantly after being partially ejected. Her passenger, Sonia, was thrown out of the vehicle. She was transported to Lebanon Community Hospital where she died approximately three hours later.
The sisters had been on their way to a Bible study meeting at their church in Lebanon and were within a mile of their home when they crashed.
Huston-Jost Funeral Home in Lebanon is handling the arrangements.
