David Blalock

David Miller Blalock Sr., 73, of Cascadia died Nov. 14, 2015.

He was born Dec. 22, 1941 in Lee Heights, La. to Paul Joseph and Mildred (Hutzler) Blalock and raised in Alexandria, La. He moved to Stockton, Calif. in 1965 and retired in Cascadia in 1992.

Mr. Blalock was a project manager/cost engineer for Pacific Gas & Electric Company in California. He was a member of the First Baptist church in Sweet Home and served as active member volunteer fire dept. out of Sweet Home.

Mr. Blalock married his wife, Lowene, on Aug. 21, 1993. He enjoyed square dancing, hunting, fishing, yard sales, reading, gardening, mushrooming and maintaining their mountain log home and property.

He is survived by his wife Lowene of Cascadia; daughters Michelle Bentz of Sonora, Calif., Pamela Souza of Rocklin, Calif., and Paula Luque of Pittsburg, Calif.; son Bill Blalock of Mountain Home, Idaho; brothers Paul, John, Michael, Jimmy, Tommy, Mark and Chuck, all living in various parishes in Louisiana; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Blalock was preceded in death by his son, David Miller Blalock Jr.; and sister Mary Ann.

Viewing will be at noon Wednesday, Nov. 18, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.

Final burial at Lewis Cemetery will follow the service.
