David Spicer

David Eugene Spicer was born on Dec. 11,1947, in Lebanon and died Dec. 4, 2025, also in Lebanon, at the age of 77.

He was born to Edna and Paul Spicer (Sketon). They resided near Lacomb and David attended Lacomb Elementary School until he and his family moved to Central Point.

He graduated from Central Point High School. During this time he became a track star and lettered in that sport.

After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S Army; the year was 1967.

David became a paratrooper in 101st Air-born. Later David was sent to Vietnam, where he fought in over 50 firefights and was highly decorated for his services.

He earned a coveted bronze star with a V for Valor. David was in the Tet Offensive.

When his tour was over, he was one of the five original men still left in his company. In 1969 David received an honorable discharge from the Army.

David suffered greatly from P.T.S.
