David James Schmidt, 72, of Foster passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019.
He was born Oct. 25, 1947 in San Diego, Calif. to Edward Charles and Patricia Jean (Barnes) Schmidt. He was in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1972.
David was a Vietnam combat veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign medal, and the Presidential Unit Citation. He served in the Air Force National Guard for…
